This has been a busy week thus far - with a few days off hanging over my head! I look forward to spending a few days at the cabin this coming weekend - a little down time - a little family time - a little work time and a little FUN time.
Our church services for this Sunday have been moved to tonight. Frank Liske Park - with hamburgers and hotdogs - a little music and a little preaching by Pastor Jimmy. I am really pumped about it because I have some folks who I have been inviting to church for months - who will be there! I pray that God moves the park!!!
I remember those days of just out of feeling better about myself or some "internal" obligations to go to church. Those days are long gone.
I understand now - the importance of it all. I have given my heart to Jesus - not just what I want to give Him - or allow Him to have. He has it all and honestly - Thats when my whole world changed.
John13: 31-36
31When he was gone, Jesus said, "Now is the Son of Man glorified and God is glorified in him. 32If God is glorified in him,[b] God will glorify the Son in himself, and will glorify him at once.
33"My children, I will be with you only a little longer. You will look for me, and just as I told the Jews, so I tell you now: Where I am going, you cannot come.
34"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
36Simon Peter asked him, "Lord, where are you going?" Jesus replied, "Where I am going, you cannot follow now, but you will follow later."
Carol, Kyle and I are enjoying a good ride here with inviting folks to church. Having them come on their own now and kids are in Sunday school - they are enjoying the message. It wont be long before they are serving and really buying into the "life change" that takes place. I am really excited about what God is doing in our lives - our church - our small group and the support it has right now.
I hope to post on how tonight goes...... I can't wait. God is taking me to a new place...... taking others with me. I am enjoying the walk!
